Al Fujairah is the only one of the Trucial States under former British protection that is not situated in the Persian Gulf. It is located in the Gulf of Oman and borders the Sultanate of Oman. It is the least populous of the seven Emirates and is largely mountainous with very little desert and plenty of rainfall. As a result it is arable and has at least one season of crops and plenty of vegetation. It was the last sheikdom to join the United Arab Emirates and has developed a free trade zone along the lines of Dubai. It is however dependent on subsidies from the seat of government in Abu Dhabi.
Fujairah Hotels cater to the many business visitors in the centre of town. The concept of a Fujairah Luxury Hotel is somewhat more recent then the larger Emirates like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, but today are on par with the best of them. The location of Al Fujairah is relatively strategic and its dependency on Abu Dhabi for its development is paramount. Sharjah is easily accessible from Al Fujairah and the Indian Ocean where it is sited is ideally suited for access to the beach spots in Sharjah by sea.
Al Fujairah is easily accessible from the Sultanate of Oman which it borders and the Sheikh of Al Fujairah is developing the emirate as a tourist destination. Luxurious villas are being constructed along the border with Oman as well as Al Diar Fujairah Luxury Hotels to cater for the anticipated inflow of tourists and visitors especially from the Sultanate of Oman and neighbouring kingdoms in the United Arab Emirates.
With such far reaching plans for the development of resorts and luxury villas, and development of facilities for entertaining its wealthy neighbours from the western part of the United Arab Emirates, Al Diar Siji Fujairah Hotels are well poised to offer the best money can buy in this eastern emirate.
